It’s That Time of Year

This is my most FAVOURITE time of the year.

I love all the magic and joy that this time of year brings to us. The wonder and excitement that you see all around.

So many find this time of year so stressful, and it definitely can be if you are putting all the pressures from the world on your shoulders.

I used to be this person, so stressed out over everything, especially in this season! I still really loved all the things but it always felt so overwhelming at the same time. Following and trying to keep up with everything, buying all the gifts people wanted, cooking all the food that you are told to cook, and going to all the festivities that you feel you should be attending. It really can be so overwhelming to try and keep up.

Having these stresses while working towards finishing off the year strong on my goals always seemed to be too much. Unfortunately my goals seemed to always take a back seat to everything else. Especially being a mom. Working to make sure the holidays were more special than the last for the kids.

I learnt some very important things over the years on how to keep this overwhelm away. On how to keep everything working in my favour with my goals.

Here are some tips to make it through the next 2 months + End the year stronger than you came into it.

HAVE A PLAN

Plan out your budget, the hardest part of this is sticking to it. So budget high.Make a list of the gifts you want to get.

Plan out your schedule, This helps to make sure you don’t over plan + pack too much in for what you can handle. This is also where you can make sure you have the things that you need to keep you rolling towards your goal. YOU DO NOT HAVE TO MAKE IT TO EVERYTHING.

Plan your menu. Having your menu planned and your food prepped will stop those busy days of just grabbing something on the go. This takes the stress off of what to eat after you already have decision fatigue. Also helps you to not be skipping any meals. Throwing your whole system for a loop.

Keep Accountable

Remind yourself of why often. Having a very solid reason why the goal is so important to you is a major player when the days get busy. TIP; Put your why as your phone background so you can see it every time you pick it up, keeping it at the forefront of your thoughts.

Keep it high on the priority list. When you keep it at the top part of your list you make the time to get it done. You usually make sure it's one of the first couple things you get done in a day.

Have an Accountability Partner. Having someone that you are checking in with will have you making sure that you don’t let yourself down.

Keep Your Health Up

Get enough sleep. Have this in your schedule. Make sure you stay on your sleep routine. If you don’t have one I suggest you get one. You actually have a little one that you have not paid attention to.

Get proper nutrition. Keep on track with the foods that serve your body. This is a big one for when you are out at those holiday parties. There is always a way for you to eat all the amazing foods without eating the things that don’t work well in your system. Don’t overindulge because you will feel worse the next day + your energy levels will be lower so you won't be able to perform to the best of your ability.

Keep up with your daily habits you have built throughout the year. Don’t let them fall to the wayside for something that is not as important. You have worked really hard at building these habits.

These are all the things that help me to not get stressed out over the holiday. I always want to leave the year stronger than I went into. To be able to do this I need to make sure that I am staying on track with all the things that I have worked so hard to become habits that then turn into just natural things I do.

Take your health into your control.

These are all steps that you would learn in my Awaken Program. Having the accountability to truly make the shifts that you are looking for to feeling better in the skin you're in.
