Gut Health…Here’s What I Know
Over a decade ago I started to take a deep dive into gut health. This was something that I honestly never even thought about. It was so foreign to me that I had no clue where to even start. I didn't even know that gut health was something to be paying attention to.
We started to unfold this idea of gut health through the painful medical journey with my daughter. I used to really kick myself with mom guilt about not knowing anything about this. I soon came to realize that I had never thought this before, so how could I know? My poor little angel would be in excruciating pain in her stomach. There was no rime or reason behind the pain at first. With many trips to the ER, Countless tests (which we now have to deal with the trauma from) and essentially coming up with no answers I started to do my own research. I started to implement my own ideas into her treatments.
Our bodies give us all kinds of warning signs before they break down. The biggest problem is that most people don’t pay attention or know them.
62% of people worldwide suffer from digestion complications. Almost twice as many women suffer from digestion health issues compared to men.
These numbers are astoundingly high. When we have 95% of serotonin, a major mood influencing hormone and 70% of our immune system is located in our gut.
If you are suffering from any of the following it may be time to take control of your gut health.

You have extreme food cravings, especially sugar

Our gut is what is considered your second brain of the body.Researchers have found that a lesser known nervous system in our guts (our "second brain") communicates with the brain in our head. Together, "our two brains" play a key role in certain diseases and illnesses in our bodies and our overall health. If you do not pay attention to it, it will cause havoc throughout your entire body.
